Angels Roost, Kern River Country, Southern Rock band, country band, live music, cover band

Angels Roost is a Southern Rock and Country Band featuring two big personalities, Bronson Slaughter and Valerie Stone. You can call it “Kern River Country”. As full-time entertainers and musicians, their original / cover band has been touring California, Arizona, Nevada playing everything from 90’s Country and Classic Country to Blues and Southern Rock. They love to raise some hell, electrify a crowd, and keep the dance floor packed all night!

Angels Roost is currently recording their first original album and having it mixed in Nashville with 12 time Grammy nominated engineer Joe Carrell. Every song is inspired by a true story. Catchy riffs and resonating lyrics conjure up tales of car wrecks, gunshots, honky tonks, crooked preachers, adventures, misadventures, young love, and even a break-up song or two. Angels Roost recently sold out two headlining shows at Buck Owens' Crystal Palace (650 capacity) and they perform at numerous venues every week, averaging 115 shows per year across 3 states. Bronson and Valerie have also had interviews and original songs featured on multiple TV stations including NBC, ABC, and Fox Nation. In addition to great music, they also bring a stage presence that emanates passion, confidence and authenticity.

In addition to musical performances, the duo has also cut their teeth as radio personalities, regularly hosting a live call-in radio show together as well as writing and recording various station liners and jingles. Whether on stage or on-the-air, Bronson and Valerie play off each other's witty quips and engage the audience with charming relatability, humorous testimonials, and a salt-of-the-earth attitude.

The group is sponsored by multiple brands including Boot Barn, Gone Country Hats, Design Roulette, and Aquarian Drumheads. People often ask about the origin of the band name! Bronson, being an avid moonshiner, named the band after a whiskey term! The “Angels Roost” refers to the top-shelf of the barrelhouse, where the finest whiskey is left to age. Top Shelf Whiskey = Top Shelf Music. A few of their musical influences include: Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Waylon Jennings, Bonnie Raitt, Dolly Parton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Allman Brothers.
